K-12 School

K-12 schools have an obligation to prevent sexual violence by implementing comprehensive policies, programs, and procedures. School administrators, social workers, and counselors have a responsibility for creating and maintaining effective prevention practices as well as fostering a safe environment, culture, and community. Student and parent groups also play a crucial role by holding their school accountable, hosting trainings, and providing education. Parents, faculty, and other individuals can take action by challenging rape culture and being active bystanders. Through a multi-pronged approach, we can prevent sexual violence in K-12 schools.
